Fundraising Events

Our fundraising events are designed for our supporters, both individual and corporate. They are an excellent way for everyone to learn more about us while having a great time. They also provide an excellent opportunity for corporations to sponsor our youth programs while possibly entertaining customers.

Each year, First Tee – Benton Harbor proudly organizes fundraising and community events to support our expanding participant base and broaden our impact. The generous contributions of our partners play a vital role in the success of each event. We proudly share news of our activities across Southwest Michigan.

Scholarship Dinner & Silent Auction | Thursday, June 4, 2026 | The Inn at Harbor Shores | 6 PM – 8:30 PM

2025 Recap: A packed room full of energy, emotion, and purpose came together to celebrate eight remarkable scholars, honor our 2025 Volunteer of the Year, and recognize our inaugural Wall of Fame class.

We are proud to celebrate last year’s First Tee Scholarship Recipients: Jason Wright, Isaac Weber, Rachel Cox, Jordan Miller, Kate Sherman, Helaina Mihalik, Dylan Walters, and Kennedy Bowman. Each of these young people represents the best of First Tee – Benton Harbor, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for them.

We also honored Kirk Christensen as our Volunteer of the Year, recognizing his incredible dedication to our participants at Harbor Shores and beyond.

And we celebrated the impact and legacy of five extraordinary individuals who were inducted into our inaugural Wall of Fame class: Jeff Fettig, Pam Klyn, John Miller, Nancy Tennant, and Mark Brown.

First Tee – Benton Harbor Cup Presented by LECO | Monday, October 19, 2026 | Lost Dunes Golf Club

The demand for the First Tee – Benton Harbor Cup was tremendous last year, with 108 players participating in a truly exclusive experience. It was a day defined by great golf and even greater purpose, as our community rallied to support the next generation of leaders.

Due to the event’s overwhelming popularity, the field is currently at capacity, and player registration remains by invitation only. However, we invite those who want to be part of this tradition to join us as Mission Partners.

Sponsorships are the most effective way to secure your presence at the Cup while directly fueling our youth programs. To explore 2026 sponsorship opportunities and learn how you can play a role in this exclusive event, please reach out to Josh Schaffer at [email protected].
