The Coalition was founded in 2015 by a group of dedicated college leaders aiming to improve the college application process, particularly for those students from historically under-represented groups. 

The Coalition builds off of our past College Knowledge Program, working with high school students who are eligible for the Benton Harbor Promise.

The Coalition helps make college a reality for all students through MyCoalition, a set of free, online college-planning tools that helps students learn about, prepare for, and apply to college. Using MyCoalition, students can begin exploring colleges and compiling personal and school-related achievements as early as ninth grade. By the time senior year rolls around, they are already on track for college success.

The Coalition is a partnership between First Tee - Benton Harbor and the Benton Harbor Promise to prepare students academically, socially, or vocationally for life after high school.
